Mobile appointments require careful planning to avoid overlap with in-clinic sessions. We also like to clarify what to expect and gather all the necessary information, such as confirming your address and discussing parking or access arrangements to ensure our appointment runs smoothly.

Mobile appointments require significant time away from the clinic, even for locations that are close by. For example, a 30-minute mobile Osteopathy follow-up appointment just 10 minutes from the clinic can require at least 1 hour and 30 minutes of your practitioner’s time - equivalent to three in-clinic appointments. This is due to travel, parking, preparation, setup and packing of equipment, buffers for traffic or unexpected delays, and ensuring a timely return to the clinic for other patients.

With this in mind, we endeavour to keep our mobile fees minimal, so that those who need care have access to our treatments, whatever their needs or circumstances.

Mobile appointments are ideal in the following scenarios:

• Caring for family members, pets, or children

• Managing a recent injury, mobility issue, chronic pain, or long-term condition

• Needing appointments outside standard clinic hours (though flexible scheduling in clinic is possible)

• Working from home, including sessions during your lunch break

Additional benefit for home workers: During mobile Osteopathy appointments, we can review your workstation in-person and provide personalised advice to reduce strain and support recovery. Please note this service is only available as part of our Osteopathy appointments, as it falls outside the scope of general massage.

We aim to provide the same high standard of care as in our clinic, but there are a few practical differences to be aware of:

• Certain specialist treatments, such as cupping, heated cupping, machine-assisted soft tissue release, and dry needling, are not available during mobile appointments due to the need for specialist equipment.

• We do bring a range of portable instruments to deliver our signature advanced soft tissue release at the highest possible standard.

• For payments, we are unable to accept chip-and-pin without our card reader, but we can take contactless card payments or cash during mobile visits.

We have on-site parking and a very spacious treatment room, with a wide and fully adjustable treatment table.

However, there is a very small step on the access door, with no ramp, and the door width is 70cm - which could be too slim for some wheelchair users. We have a toilet, however this room is very small with limited space to manoeuvre a wheelchair.

Overall, we would recommend mobile appointments for those in a wheelchair due to potential access issues.
